This delightful excursion includes a local boat trip up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, now owned by the National Trust. Protected by shelter belts the 40 acre garden as seen today is largely the work of Mr and Mrs Ronald Copeland after Mrs Copeland inherited Trelissick in 1937. The garden features include year round colour, woodland walks beside the river, parkland, rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas, camellias, flowering cherries, magnolias, eucalyptus, maples, palm trees and exotic plants such as the ginkgo. An introduction will be given by the National Trust after which you can enjoy free time to explore the garden independently before taking the return cruise to Falmouth.
