TARQUINIA

Discover Tarquinia’s famed painted tombs and the remarkable Etruscan treasures displayed in the National Museum of Tarquinia. The city was an important economic and political centre of the Etruscan League and around 600 tombs dating from the 6th-1st century BC have been discovered in the necropolis. Frescoes and friezes from the tombs can be seen in the museum, together with numerous sarcophagi. Following the visit a short drive will take you to the Etruscan Tombs where the interior of 3 tombs will be visited.
