RAVENNA WALK

Enjoy a walking tour of this charming city including visits to the Basilica Sant' Apollinare Nuovo, erected by the Ostrogoth King Theodoric as his palace chapel during the first quarter of the 6th century, the Gothic Baptistry, built at the same time with four niches and a dome inside with mosaics depicting the baptism of Jesus by Saint John the Baptist. Before visiting the Basilica di San Vitale, consecrated in 547 by Archbishop Maximian and adorned with colourful mosaics representing scenes from the Old Testament.
