FLEXIBLE EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNTS
To benefit from the Early Booking Discount, bookings must be made before 31st January 2008. These discounts are per person sharing
a twin/double cabin, are not combinable with any other offers available from Swan Hellenic and are subject to availability. We have set aside a specific number of cabins for these offers. Once these allocated cabins are sold we will reduce the early booking discounts and we reserve the right to do this at any time. These discounts do not apply to pre- or post-cruise tours, flight upgrades, insurance, hotels or any ad hoc arrangements. Once our single occupancy cabins have been sold, twin cabins may be available for single occupancy use but we may not be able to offer them at our special single occupancy rate.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
We are unable to accept "conditional bookings". Please note any special requests clearly on your Booking Form and we will do our best to comply with your wishes. We must point out that failure to fulfil a special request cannot be considered a breach of Contract on the part of the company.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
We particularly ask you to tell us in writing of any alterations to your address before departure, and in any communication, please state the cruise on which you are travelling.
DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998
Please be assured that we have methods in place to protect the personal booking information held by us. This information will be passed on to the principal and to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements. The information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by them, or as required by law. Certain information may also be passed on to security or credit checking companies. If you travel outside the EU, controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will only pass your information on to persons responsible for your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities or dietary/religious requirements. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EU or not, we will be unable to accept your booking. In making your booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons). Full details of our data protection policy are available upon request.
CHANGES TO YOUR CRUISE
The information in this website outlines details of our carefully planned programme. Should any subsequent events cause us to change our plans or affect the published itinerary in any way, we shall let passengers know. However, in the event of war or threat of war, political unrest, terrorist activity, nuclear disaster or other similar events, we maintain the unreserved right to cancel, postpone or alter without prior consultation, any itinerary in whole or in part, in order to safeguard passengers, ship and employees. See Fair Trading Conditions.
OVERSEAS STANDARDS
It is a fact of life that when we travel to different countries, we often find that the customs, traditions and general pace at which things are done can be very different from what we are used to in the UK. So as far as standards of safety are concerned, the suppliers of services must comply with the rules and regulations of their own country and these are not always as strict as they are in the UK.
DANGEROUS GOODS
We direct your attention to the fact that it is an offence to carry on board aircraft or ship any goods of a dangerous or damaging nature. Remember that petrol and other lighter or curler fluids come under the terms of the Explosives Act; their inclusion in heavy baggage is strictly prohibited.
WEBSITE ACCURACY
The information contained in this website is checked for accuracy by our UK staff, our overseas staff and our agents. Nevertheless, we would ask you to bear in mind that things can change and often these things can happen without our prior knowledge. However, should we become aware of any long term or permanent change which it is considered would have a permanent effect upon your enjoyment of the cruise, we will do our utmost to advise you.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL PASSENGERS ARE INSURED WHILE ON THE CRUISE.
You should also have insurance cover from the moment you book as cancellation charges apply from the time deposits are received. We have a comprehensive policy available, details of which are given below, together with premiums payable.
Cover is arranged with The Travel Insurance People through Jardine Lloyd Thompson (UK) Limited and is underwritten by Arch Insurance Company (Europe) Limited (Arch Europe).
A Policy will be sent to you with your confirmation of booking. Please read it carefully. A telephone number is given should you have any queries concerning the cover and declaration of material facts and medical conditions. Failure to disclose any material facts may mean that your policy will not cover you and it may invalidate the policy altogether. You will have 14 days to cancel this policy without charge in the unlikely event that the policy does not meet with your needs, providing that your cruise has not commenced and you have not made a claim.
International Medical Rescue 24 hour emergency service is provided 365 days a year. Please note that cover is only available to UK Residents. The maximum age for passengers taking out the cover detailed below is 85 at the time of booking. The maximum duration of the cruise for passengers aged 70 to 79 at the time of booking is 31 days. The maximum duration of the cruise for passengers aged 80 to 85 at the time of booking is 17 days. For passengers aged 86 and over, or passengers booking cruises in excess of durations shown, we are able to suggest alternative insurance providers - please call us for details on 01444 462 180.
