The tour concludes with an exploration of history at Fuerte Lambert, a significant coastal fortification. Situated atop Castillo del Carmen Hill in the area known as Punta Pelícanos, the fort's origins trace back to 1865, with a major reconstruction in 1879 to defend the port during the War of the Pacific.
