Igaliku
Igaliku is a UNESCO-listed Viking settlement and the site of the ancient bishopric of Gardar, once the religious centre of Norse Greenland. Guests can explore the archaeological remains of the cathedral and surrounding settlement before visiting the modern village church, which provides further interpretation of the area's Norse history.
Today, Igaliku is home to a small community of Inuit farmers and is one of the very few places in Greenland where farming and sheep grazing remain possible. Subject to local arrangements, guests may also enjoy a traditional kaffemik or local tasting at the village hotel, together with an optional guided hike through the surrounding countryside
