This voyage traces a sweeping arc across the northern Atlantic, connecting some of its most compelling island cultures and coastal landscapes — from Iceland's volcanic shores and the remote Faroe Islands to the Norse-tinged Shetland Islands, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and finally IJmuiden, just a half-hour drive from Amsterdam.
The first days follow Iceland's southern coast, from Reykjavík to the puffin colonies of Heimaey and the glacial edges of Djúpivogur. The ship then crosses to the Faroe Islands for two stops — ancient Funningur and the colourful capital Tórshavn — before moving south through the British Isles: Lerwick, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen.
