Nature doesn’t get wilder than the Arctic. One of the richest and most diverse habitats on earth, this part of the world is home to a vast array of flora and fauna. From the adorable Arctic fox to the almost-mythical narwhal, the Arctic wilderness is as eclectic as it is spectacular. Imagine gliding through ice-choked waters aboard a Zodiac boat and spotting the tell-tale sign of a whale fluke up ahead. Or watching in awe-struck silence as you observe a lonely polar bear clawing at the shoreline searching for a meal. For bird enthusiasts, there’s nowhere quite like it. Arctic fox

Commonly sighted, this species of fox is often found scavenging along the bird cliffs in a variety of habitats.

Atlantic puffin

These small seabirds are strong swimmers and dive to depths of 60 meters in search of fish.

Arctic Sled Dogs

Meet a local musher who will introduce you to his sled dogs and share insights into Inuit sled dog culture.

Walruses

Often seen hauled out on ice floes and remote coastlines, walruses gather in large groups where they rest between dives in search of food on the seabed.

Beluga whales

Beluga whales inhabit the cold Arctic seas, where their white silhouettes glide through ice floes and remote, silent waters.

Musk Oxen

Musk oxen roam the remote landscapes of Greenland, moving in small herds across Arctic valleys.

Reindeer

Svalbard's reindeer roam freely across the tundra, often spotted close to shore or near landing sites — smaller and stockier than their mainland relatives, and entirely unbothered by your presence.
